Job Title: Remote Procurement Specialist (China, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia)

Job Description: We are a leading supply chain company seeking experienced and motivated Remote Procurement Specialists to provide expert advice and coordinate procurement efforts in China, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia for our clients around the world. In this role, you will be responsible for advising our clients on procurement strategies, identifying and engaging with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on procurement strategies and best practices tailored to the specific market conditions in China, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and maintain a comprehensive supplier database.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to define procurement requirements and specifications.
  • Lead procurement activities, including issuing RFQs, evaluating supplier proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve any issues or disputes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement or sourcing roles, preferably in China, Malaysia, Vietnam or Indonesia.
  • Strong knowledge of local procurement practices, regulations, and supplier networks in the respective countries.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms.
  • Ability to conduct thorough market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex procurement challenges.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and result-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of Mandarin, Malay, Vietnamese, or Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.

Note: As remote procurement specialists, you will be expected to have a well-equipped home office and reliable internet connection to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and colleagues across different locations.
